Hallo guys!its my first post and it took nearly five days of mine to write it.Taking first step in blogging is really a hard task.What should be my first post?So.i decided it will better to give an introduction about blogging to others who are interested in blogging or want to know about these repeatedly spoken words "blog and blogging".
According to most generic definition "blog is a word derived from web log.Here log relates to concept of one's personal diary where he can write his thoughts".
But there is a simple difference between blog and diary that is in blogging you share your thoughts with others so they may learn some from your experience but there is not such a matter in personal diary as you usually keep your personal diary away from others.
According to me
Blog is a way to express yourself in your own words on internet to get connect,to share your knowledge and to inspire others.Doing this action is blogging.
So reader! blogging is a technique through which you can express your thoughts and life experiences.Your every post will call as "blog post". Enough definitions, lets talk about some basic concepts about blogging.
I'm interested! What is needed for blogging?
Nothing special is required to start blog and blogging also there are not any hard and fast rules to blogify yourself. But its better if
- You are good in English as its preferable to write in English online.
- You are consistent.
- You have interest in helping others
- You want to make online long term relations
The above are the some basic points and if you feel you can fulfil these requirement then blogging is for you and you can touch new horizons.
What is Niche?
Niche simply relates to the topic you choose to blog.You can choose the niche according to your interests and the the topic on which you have some command.For example if you are a teacher you can write your teaching experiences,if you are a doctor you may want to help other in medics and a technology lover may have a blog about technology where he may write news and reviews about coming technology.A programmer may want to help others via his blog using video tutorials and articles.So like this you can have blog according to your interests.
What is CMS(Blogger and Wordpress)?
So if one is interested in blogging where should he start his journey?Its not a tough or time consuming process to create a blog.Initially you have to choose a CMS(content management system) to create your first blog.CMS is a platform that will help to start your successful blog and manage you posts.There are two most reputable CMS'.First one is blogger and second is Wordpress.Blogger platform is from the house of Google and if you are a starter then it best than any other as its free and provide easy interface to manage your content i.e. your posts and widgets.There are also some others websites providing you the blogging facility.e.g. Blog,Jux,Tumblr,Weebly and many others.
Domain names and web hosting
If you are person new in blogging then you may have listen these two terms "domain name and web hosting".Well let me clear your concept.In easy words "domain" is the name specific to your website or blog.it is the name through which a visitor will get online access to your blog.it looks like this "http://www.mydomainname.com".
Blogger and Wordpress both provide you free domain name but these domain names have some additional part like "www.mydomainname.blogspot.com" and "www.mydomainname.wordpress.com".Here in this example ".blogspot.com" is used with free domain name for "blogger" blogs and ".wordpress.com" for wordpress blogs and clearly its not an impressive thing.You can purchase custom domain name from various companies like Namecheap,GoDaddy etc.The domain name is much important thing in online world and you should be careful while purchasing a domain name as it will effect your traffic.Always try to purchase
- Short domain names
- Domain names with out digits
- Unique but memorable domain names
Enough about domain name let's have some talk about web hosting.Web hosting mean to find online space for your blog to provide fast accessibility to your blog.Blogger provides you free web hosting.If you want you can purchase webhosting from Namecheap,GoDaddy,BlueHost etc.These companies provide you various packages.
SEO
When ever one will talk about blogging he will also mention the term "SEO".SEO stands for "search engine optimization".SEO is ongoing process that will do the same work for your blog as water do for some thirsty.Basically seo means to drive maximum traffic from search engines like GOOGLE and BING to your blog.To get max user to your site using search engines you have to learn the "SEO" techniques and the way to apply these techniques on your blog.Frankly speaking there are two types of SEO:
- On-Page Optimization:It relates to content of the page and Web Page design,HTML,Keyword placement etc.
- Off page optimization:These are the techniques related to social media(facebook,twitter etc) campaign,back linking,photo sharing and submission of your blog in different directories etc.

$$$ hmm!blogging also help to earn money.To earn handsome money you must have handsome traffic to your blog and to get traffic you need proper use of SEO and more importantly consistency. There are many ways to earn money from your blog.Some familiar methods are
- Google Asense: The popular online earning program from the house of GOOGLE.
- Affiliate Marketing: You will promote some others products on your blog and on sending a buyer right from your blog you will get a share in sale.
- Directly buy sell ads: You can directly talk to advertising companies to show their ads on your blog.
There are many other ways to earn from your blog but these are more durable ways.
